TMBS Celebrates Fantastic GCSE Results
The Market Bosworth School are celebrating another amazing set of GCSE results. In the key government attainment measure, 80% of students gained GCSEs in Maths and English at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C equivalent). This makes the School one of the highest achieving in Leicestershire compared to the 2016 average (65%).
Stuart Wilson, Principal said, “Across the country there has been a great deal of uncertainty with GCSE results this year. To attain such high grades at a time of national change really is extraordinary.
These results are even more incredible given that as a year group, our students were below the national KS2 average when they started with us in year 7. The progress they have made is astounding, I am so pleased that their commitment and hard work has been rewarded.
We wish our 2017 cohort all the best in the next stage of their education, they have been brilliant, a real credit to our school and community.”
