Throughout the week there is a wide variety of excursions and activities enabling students to experience many aspects of ‘traditional’ French culture, as well as practising their language skills. Visits include baking French bread at a local bakery, visiting a goat farm and learning how to make cheese, Houlgate market and the picturesque harbour at Honfleur, the Normandy Landing Beaches with visits to Arromanches and other significant sites along the Normandy Landing beaches, giving students an insight into the events of the D-Day landings during WWII. Activities are also organised in the evenings, which include pancakes at a crêperie, games on the beach ...even a boules tournament!
